夢の様、遠い歳月ふりかえり、伊万里の景色、目の前浮かぶ。[ゆめのよう、とおいさいげつふりかえり、いまりのけしき、めのまえうかぶ。It was like I was dreaming. The scenery of Imari City, where I went to high school, I could see it in front of me now.]
家事都合、勉強される時間なく、卒業させた父母に感謝。[かじつごう、べんきょうされるじかんなく、そつぎょうさせたふぼにかんしゃ。I'm grateful to my parents because they encouraged me to graduate from high school, even though I needed to help family business and didn't have enough time to study.]
These are my mother's tankas.
The second one: Because of family business, which was charcoal briquette shop, she needed to help delivering, so she couldn't have enough study time, however, her father had her graduated from high school, and she is grateful to her parents for that.
Seeming to be a little bit contradiction that her father have her to help family business, nevertheless her parents encouraged her to not give up and keep somehow study and graduate. I heard from her that he was a spartan dad.
And my mother was also a spartan mom to us,children.😂
